Key Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver at Home Hardware Osoyoos, your duties may include:
Product Delivery & Customer Service
- Delivering products, supplies, and building materials to residential customers, contractors, vendors, jobsites, and other store locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Representing the Home Hardware brand with a courteous, helpful, and customer-focused attitude during every delivery interaction
- Verifying and completing all required administrative paperwork accurately, including delivery manifests, receipts, and product transfer documentation
- Communicating professionally with customers and contractors at delivery locations, answering basic product or order questions and escalating concerns as needed
Vehicle Operation & Freight Handling
- Operating company delivery vehicles in full compliance with BC traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving standards at all times
- Safely loading, transporting, and unloading merchandise using appropriate freight handling equipment including forklifts, pushcarts, and manual handling techniques
- Applying correct cargo securing methods to ensure all products are safely fastened and protected during transit to prevent damage or safety risks
- Moving merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds safely and efficiently during the loading and delivery process
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance
- Conducting regular pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all company vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and safe for operation
- Reporting any vehicle defects, maintenance needs, or equipment issues promptly to the appropriate supervisor or fleet manager
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to all applicable safety regulations and certifications
- Maintaining a consistently clean and organized vehicle interior and cargo area throughout every shift
Warehouse & Store Support
- Assisting with store receiving, stock handling, and product organization as operationally required by the store team
- Supporting the coordination of deliveries between multiple Home Hardware locations across the Pro Builders Supply network when needed
- Working collaboratively with store staff, sales teams, and management to ensure smooth and accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Completing any additional duties as assigned by store management in support of daily store operations

Skills & Qualifications
To qualify, you should have:
- A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract — this is a mandatory requirement, and a yearly driver’s abstract will be required throughout employment
- A Code 20 endorsement, or alternatively a Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license, to meet the commercial driving requirements of this delivery role
- Demonstrated forklift operating experience and the ability to confidently operate loading, unloading, and transfer equipment including forklifts, pushcarts, and company delivery vehicles
- Sound knowledge of cargo securing methods and safe freight handling practices applicable to hardware and building supply deliveries
- The physical ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds as part of the regular delivery and loading process
- A motivated, customer-focused, and team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently on delivery routes while representing the Home Hardware brand with professionalism and pride
Work Environment
This role involves:
- Working outdoors regularly in all weather conditions typical of the Osoyoos, BC region, including summer heat and winter cold during year-round delivery operations
- Operating in both warehouse and on-road environments, requiring physical stamina, alertness, and adherence to safety protocols throughout the working day
- Regular heavy lifting and manual handling of hardware, lumber, and building supply products up to 100 pounds as part of daily delivery and loading tasks
- Interacting with a diverse range of customers including homeowners, contractors, and trade professionals at various delivery locations across the region

Experience and Specialization
Driving & Transportation Experience
- Commercial product and building materials delivery driving
- Multi-stop route delivery across residential, commercial, and contractor jobsite locations
- Inter-store product transfers across multi-location retail networks
Equipment & Vehicle Operation
- Forklift operation (certification preferred or required)
- Pushcart and manual freight handling equipment
- Company delivery trucks and commercial vehicles (Class 1, 3, or 5 with Code 20)
Industry Knowledge
- Hardware, building supplies, and home improvement product handling
- Cargo securing techniques and safe freight loading practices
- BC traffic regulations and commercial vehicle compliance requirements
