Key Responsibilities
As a Plumber, your duties may include:
Plumbing Installation & Repair
- Install domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and complete pipe systems to specification
- Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, pipe networks, and related mechanical components
- Locate and accurately mark positions for pipe connections, joints, and fixtures before installation
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe fittings and plumbing access points
- Join pipes using clamps, couplings, screws, cement, soldering, and welding equipment as required
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required dimensions and project specifications
- Test completed pipe systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges to ensure integrity
Worksite & Operations Support
- Schedule personnel, equipment, and tools when required to maintain efficient project timelines
- Follow all applicable construction and plumbing safety standards on every worksite
- Maintain clean, organised, and hazard-free work areas throughout each project
- Read and interpret plumbing layouts, technical drawings, and project specifications accurately
- Assist with additional plumbing and mechanical tasks as directed by the project supervisor

Skills & Qualifications
To qualify, you should have:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent academic background
- Between 1 year and less than 2 years of hands-on plumbing experience in a residential or comparable setting
