Key Responsibilities
As a Dental Assistant, your duties may include:
Patient Support
- Providing chairside support and playing an integral part in delivering high-quality patient care
- Assisting orthodontists and oral health therapists during procedures
- Helping maintain a positive and reassuring experience for patients
Clinical Preparation
- Preparing treatment rooms ahead of patient appointments
- Performing instrument sterilisation and infection control duties
- Using digital imaging and scanning equipment as required
Clinic Maintenance
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is ready for use
Administrative Support
- Assisting with reception duties as required
- Supporting scheduling and patient communication tasks
Skills & Qualifications
To qualify, you should have:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a dental or orthodontic setting
- Experience in both chairside assisting and reception duties
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A friendly, caring nature with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (highly desirable)
Work Environment
This role involves:
- Working on-site at the clinic, with no option for remote work
- Direct interaction with patients in a clinical setting
- Close collaboration with orthodontists, oral health therapists, and reception staff
- A clean, organized, and professional clinic environment
